It's our desire to continually Raise the Standard of play on and off the field, in Sportsmanship, Honor, Fun, Safety, Level of Play and just about every other aspect of participation as a cohesive group of family and friends in the Paintball Community.

Southern Virginia Special Operations (SoVa) based in Gloucester Va. has seen many changes. However the one consistant factor is the fun factor. Our paramount objective is for our members and guests to have a safe and fun experience at each and every event.

The team is made up of members from a multitude of backgrounds. We have members and guests with a diverse age-range, from the youngsters to the retirees. Our current roster has local professionals, entrepreneurs, military, students, retirees, parents and grandparents. We advocate a family-oriented, safe, productive and enjoyable enviroment for everyone to participate in.

The team does have some stringent guidelines for the purpose of safety, however we do not charge dues, mandate equipment or even set required games. Depending on your level of commitment, you set your own level of team membership. Please check out our team guidelines.

We host quarterly team meetings and our team calendar is posted annually each year with regular updates. Currently, we primarily participate in events at Splatbrothers Paintball Park in Hopewell Va, along with events at New Kent Paintball in WestPoint and on occasion you may find members at the Swamp fun park in Gloucester. It is the team goal to make road games, to EMR park in Milford Pa, Fort Blanding Fla and others available for members to participate in.

At this time, Team SoVa has no regulated tryouts for perspective members, all we ask is that you play alongside of the team at (Minimum 2) upcoming events. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of team guidelines and the General Rules for Scenario Paintball (GRSP), be an honorable team player along with representing yourself, paintball and team SoVa in the highest of respect. Communicate your desire for membership to the other members of the team and then we will vote on your admission at our next quarterly meeting.

"We had a great time, I kept running into your boys over & over. Your Demo Guys took me out three times on Sunday and I think about 4-5 times Saturday.
